I was happy to be invited to come do the Bagpiping for Burns Night in Laos again for 2025 by the British Business Group of Laos. The event took place in the capital, Vientiane, at the very nice Holiday Inn. The night was filled with poetry, dancing, good food, lots of drinks, and many opportunities to play some bagpipes.

Bagpiper from Bangkok to Vientiane
For the evening, I started by playing few tunes as the guests arrived at the hotel. The pipes were loud enough for everyone in the lobby to hear, and to come see what big event was happening.
Later, I also played Auld Lang Syne to finish the night.
Of course, one of the highlights is to pipe in the haggis, which is basically me bagpiping as I lead a parade of men in kilts (plus the chef) through the ball room, and up onto the stage for a speaker to give the Address to the Haggis. There is also a toast with some whisky at the end. Altogether a great time Bagpiping Burns Night in Laos.
