Bangkok has a variety of options for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It is International Guinness Day, according to many beer websites. For more information on beer and Bankok info, check out The Bangkok Beer Guide for more events happening around St. Patrick’s Day.

O’Shea’s Irish Bar for St. Patrick’s Day
Current plans are for Chan, Mark, and I to get together and play some Irish tune on pipes and drums at O’Shea’s Irish Bar on March 17th.
Tunes we have currently planned to play:
- Danny Boy
- Irish National Anthem
- Minstrel Boy
- Pikeman’s March
- Wearing of the Green
This will be the 2nd year that I have been invited by the management of O’Shea’s to bring together another piper and a drummer to play on the streets to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland. Bagpipes are really great for marching, so we’ll be marching around on Sukhumvit 33, between the bars:
- O’Shea’s Irish Pub
- The Laughing Tiger Bar
- The Royal Oak
- Although it is also very close to the craft beer bar, Hair of the Dog, I am pretty sure that it will not be on our planned parade route. Guess that will have to be on our own time, or after everything is finished, and I need “just 1 more beer”…
